Nemours Children's Hospital, located in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our team. One of the nation’s largest pediatric health systems, Nemours Children's Health, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our dedicated and collegial team at the Nemours Children's Hospital, Orlando, Florida. We are looking for an experienced, compassionate physician to provide anesthesia and sedation services for pediatric patients requiring cardiac surgery, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, cardiac imaging, and for those with congenital or acquired heart disease requiring non-cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for patients with complex congenital heart disease, including single ventricle physiology and critical neonatal cardiac conditions. Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia and sedation services for pediatric patients undergoing cardiac surgery, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, cardiac imaging, and non-cardiac procedures for those with congenital or acquired heart disease. Care for patients with complex congenital heart disease, including single ventricle physiology and critical neonatal cardiac conditions. Supervise CRNAs and CAAs; educate medical students and anesthesia residents pursuing pediatric cardiac anesthesia electives; work closely with pediatric cardiac intensivists on invasive monitoring placement, airway management, and bedside procedures. Participate in department and hospital-wide quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives; identify opportunities to enhance care delivery and lead efforts to implement best practices. Pursue research opportunities through collaboration across the Nemours Children\'s Health system and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine; potential for a faculty appointment. Contribute to ongoing education and multidisciplinary collaboration within the pediatric cardiac team. Qualifications
