Overview
Family Medicine Physician - China Basin, SF Bay Area, California Department: UCSF Primary Care - Department of Family and Community Medicine. This is a full-time position to join the Primary Care team in China Basin, San Francisco, CA, within UCSF's academic health system. Position Highlights
Full-time compensation (40 hours/week)
with
32 hours of direct clinical care $319,000 total compensation in year one , with additional productivity-based incentives once fully paneled Dedicated 1:1 Medical Assistant
support Team-based care model
including RNs, clinical pharmacists (PharmD), social workers, behavioral health, and more Protected administrative time (20%)
to support clinical documentation, inbox management, care coordination, and team collaboration Opportunities for teaching students in clinic Supportive, structured ramp-up period
prior to implementation of additional productivity opportunities Clinical Responsibilities
Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care within an integrated team setting Participate in population health strategies, quality improvement initiatives, and panel management Collaborate with specialists and other providers to ensure coordinated care Manage transitions of care, including post-hospitalization and post-emergency follow-up Participate in after-hours phone call pool (rotating) Complete documentation and medical records in a timely and accurate manner using the Epic/MyChart electronic health record system Work Schedule
100% FTE includes eight (8) half-day clinical sessions per week Two (2) additional half-day sessions per week for administrative responsibilities and team engagement Flexible scheduling options (7 or 8 clinical sessions) Academic and Institutional Engagement

Interest in teaching and prior practice experience Preference for multilingual candidates Competence in clinical practice, communication, case management, problem solving, leadership and teaching License/Certification
