Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication. Responsibilities
Provide clinical services to patients at the facility. Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as corporate and facility policies. Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and offer medical recommendations. Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders. Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications. Review and complete medical information for individual care plans and document services in a timely manner. Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with policy and procedures. Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required. One or more years of post-graduate practice preferred. Licensed in the state in which the facility operates. Licenses/Certifications
Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state of employment. Our Comprehensive Treatment Network
