The VA Providence Healthcare System is urgently seeking Board-Certified Hematology-Oncology Physicians to join our team in delivering exceptional care to our nation’s veterans. This is a unique opportunity to serve a mission-driven population while practicing in a state-of-the-art clinical environment that meets or exceeds national standards set by The Joint Commission and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Scope of Services
As part of this contract role, the physician will provide comprehensive Hematology-Oncology services to eligible VA beneficiaries. The scope includes both inpatient and outpatient care, with responsibilities that mirror those in leading civilian medical facilities. Key Responsibilities
Deliver expert consultation and treatment in inpatient and outpatient settings Triage and prioritize consults from primary care and other specialties Conduct thorough medical histories and physical exams Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic and laboratory tests Develop and prescribe individualized treatment plans Collaborate with Primary Care and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care Participate in administrative duties including peer review and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations Maintain compliance with VA policies and national standards Qualifications
Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology (required) Active medical license in good standing Experience in both inpatient and outpatient oncology care preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to veteran-centered care and continuous quality improvement Why Join Us?
