Central Montana Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate ER Physician to join our healthcare team in Lewistown, MT. Full-time six 24-hour shifts per month. An average of 16 patient encounters per 24-hour shift. Flexible scheduling with a great Physician group. Nationally recognized as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital with a Five-Star CMS rating. Responsibilities
Provide urgent and specialized medical care to patients in the Emergency Room setting, addressing a wide range of acute medical conditions and injuries. Diagnose and promptly treat emergency cases, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team and consulting specialists as necessary for optimal patient care. Establish quick rapport with patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and effective communication during high-stress situations. Maintain accurate and real-time electronic health records, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of patient information. Actively engage in ER team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance emergency care services and clinical outcomes. Contribute to the medical education and training of residents, medical students, and other health professionals, fostering a culture of learning and innovation in emergency medicine. Requirements
Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine. Board certification or eligibility for certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine (with previous emergency medicine work experience). Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Montana. Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice in emergency medicine. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
