Role We are looking for a Strategy Senior Manager to join Hotels.com at Expedia Group. As an individual contributor, you will play a critical role in shaping Hotels.com’s global strategy, which is one of the largest brands in the Expedia portfolio with a fiercely loyal customer base. You will report to Hotels.com Head of Strategy & Planning. Your responsibilities will be to identify medium-to-long-term strategies for Hotels.com as well as working with cross-functional teams to bring global strategic initiatives to market.

Responsibilities

Strategy Development: Play a key role in defining and operationalizing key medium- and long-term strategic initiatives to improve consumer performance and competitive positioning

Evaluate strategic opportunities and develop perspectives on implications and actions for the traveler

Monitor the traveler ecosystem to identify market trends

Identify business / value driver opportunities and risks

Assess strategic options and work with key stakeholders to develop the business case

Communicate findings to senior stakeholders and build buy-in

Own end-to-end process from inception through market activation of strategic initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product, Supply, Finance, and Analytics teams

Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics to drive informed business decisions

Performance Metrics: Regularly evaluate performance against targets against established financial KPIs

Global Alignment: Foster consistency and alignment across diverse markets

Qualifications

8+ years (with a Bachelor’s or 6+ years with a Master’s) of experience in strategy within consumer industries, ideally within travel and/or tech

Previous strategy experience at a consulting firm is preferred

Strategic mindset: think long-term, anticipate market trends, and adapt to changing business landscapes

In-depth business case development leveraging analysis in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment

Demonstrated ability to turn strategy into business results and drive growth

Project management and planning skills

Analytical thinking: leveraging data to inform decisions

Strong relationship-building: able to build a strong network across the various stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Compensation and Benefits The total cash range for this position in New York is $166,000.00 to $232,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $265,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
