We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Engineer Lead to guide our growing software development team through strategic planning, technical execution, and day-to-day operations. This newly created role blends hands-on software expertise with leadership and supervisory responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned developer with a passion for mentoring, process improvement, and driving programmatic success across multiple projects. As the Software Engineer Lead, you will serve as the technical and operational anchor for the team—ensuring high-quality code delivery, fostering collaboration, and aligning development efforts with organizational goals. Provide technical leadership and oversight across all phases of the software development lifecycle Supervise and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering growth and accountability Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables Review code, guide architectural decisions, and ensure adherence to best practices and standards Identify and resolve technical challenges, balancing short-term needs with long-term scalability Lead sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to maintain agile momentum Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for software team members Champion continuous improvement in development workflows, tools, and team culture Generate annual budget requests and track expenses throughout the fiscal year Minimum Qualifications

4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience. 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or supervisory role Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire teams Clearance: Minimum Secret clearance is required to start Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with enhanced security checks Preferred Requirements

Master’s degree in a technical or management discipline Experience leading teams in an Agile or DevOps environment Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with CUDA Background in government, defense, or regulated industries (if applicable) Proven success in scaling teams, optimizing workflows, or implementing new technologies Physical Requirements
