Overview

Staff Accountant will primarily be responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and financial reports. Analyze financial reports and accruals to ensure completeness and accuracy. Identify issues or inefficiencies and recommend solutions. Position reports to the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities

Assist with documentation of Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure that all processes are in line with the existing SOPs. Assist with external audit requests ensuring timely completion of quarterly and year-end audits. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Manage all aspects of Fixed Assets function; ensure assets in FAS system are being depreciated or amortized in the appropriate asset category with the correct lives; monitor balances in Capitalized Items in Process (CIP) to ensure assets are being transferred from CIP to the FAS system to begin depreciating when projects are completed and in service. Participate in or manage accounting/finance related projects as assigned. Work on identifying efficiency and risk opportunities to be implemented on a short and long-term basis. Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts including researching and proposing journal entries to correct identified reconciling items and explaining variances between one period to the next. Correlation between income and balance sheet is required as a part of the reconciliation process. Prepare journal entries accompanied by appropriate supporting documentation to record periodic activity in the GL for assigned entities. Process monthly elimination entries for financial reporting consolidation. Record and reconcile all investment, intercompany and OCI accounts (including the cumulative CTA adjustments). Work closely with the Manager in reviewing and identifying ways to increase efficiency or improve processes on a continuous basis. Education

Required: Bachelor; Finance or Accounting Language

Required: English Experience

Required: 1-3 years Accounting experience including month end / year end close. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel and Word). Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills; Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; Motivated, self-starter, team player. Preferred: Public Accounting or Corporate accounting experience. Experience with Windows-based accounting software (MAS90), FAS. Starting Compensation

Annual Salary: $68,640.00 - $73,699.00 (Amount based on office location, relevant experience, skills, and competencies) Why you should work with us
