Henry Ford Health System, one of the nation's largest integrated health systems, is seeking a full-time BE/BC Neonatologist to join as the 7th Neonatologist, alongside 33+ Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. Henry Ford Health is expanding its Pediatric services, including inpatient facilities and all specialties. The Pediatric service line spans multiple hospitals: West Bloomfield, Macomb, Wyandotte, Jackson, Henry Ford Hospital, Henry Ford St. John’s Children’s Hospital, Rochester, Providence, Southfield, and Novi, featuring state-of-the-art comprehensive care facilities. The flagship downtown campus is undergoing major investments under the 'Destination Grand' initiative. The primary care network for Pediatrics is extensive, with ongoing growth of specialized care services. The team includes over 275 physicians/providers, primary care, specialists, APPs, and more than 300 support staff. Care is delivered across 50+ sites, including 9 acute care hospitals and several ambulatory centers. The system has multiple Level 3 NICUs and Level 2 nurseries, supported by a strong team of neonatologists and hospitalist services. The Henry Ford Division of Neonatology covers four hospitals: a 35-bed Level III NICU at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit (perinatal referral center with 2800 deliveries and 500+ admissions annually), and Level II units at West Bloomfield, Wyandotte, and Macomb hospitals, each with 1500-2000 deliveries per year. Neonatologists and NNPs provide 24-hour coverage at Level III and Level II units, with neonatologists taking night and weekend calls from home (moonlighting). The Level II units at Wyandotte have in-house night and weekend coverage by neonatologists or NNPs, also considered moonlighting with additional pay. The system offers an excellent salary and benefits package. An active transport team (NNP, RT, Nurse) facilitates neonatal transfers, especially to the Level III NICU in Detroit, which offers full neonatal intensive care, including Pediatric surgery, iNO therapy, and Body Cooling. Academic opportunities include appointments at Michigan State University and Wayne State University. The system has a comprehensive UGME program involving medical students, family practice residents, and NNPs. Neonatologists participate in developmental follow-up clinics, supporting high-risk discharges and expanding multidisciplinary care. Qualifications include: ACGME/AOA-approved Pediatric residency program. Completion or current enrollment in an ACGME/AOA-approved Neonatology fellowship program. Board certification is required.
