Overview
Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center, located in the greater Austin area, is seeking a full-time, board-certified Veterinary Dermatologist or residency-trained clinician to join our team. Our brand new state-of-the-art 20,000 square foot facility has opened and we would love to have you join us. We are an AAHA-accredited, full-service, 24-hours-a-day hospital with dedicated doctors providing high-quality medical care to the companion animal population in Austin and surrounding areas. We provide specialty care in Critical Care/Emergency, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology (Medical), and Dentistry.
The hospital is well equipped with a full range of diagnostic and treatment equipment, including commercial grade lab diagnostics, digital cytology, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, pulse oximetry, anesthesia, flexible & rigid endoscopy, ultrasound (including bedside), telemetry, blood gas, cystoscopy, laparoscopy, cryotherapy, and CT imaging. Facilities include an isolation ward, ample exam rooms and department treatment spaces, multiple surgical suites, and a large multi-use break room/conference room. We have 24/7 ER coverage, on-call board-certified surgeons, endoscopy on-call with our internists, and 24/7 radiologist review services.
The Austin area is home to a wide variety of activities and is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. Austin is home to many technology corporations and is known as “The Live Music Capital of the World.” In addition, Austin has a fast-growing restaurant scene, year-round festivals, tons of outdoors activities including hike & bike trails and a sleuth of water sports. Austin has mild winters and hot summers with plenty of sunshine.
