Comprehensive Ophthalmologist , with a strong interest or fellowship training in
glaucoma
or
cornea , to join our current team of five MDs and two ODs. Position Overview
This is an exceptional opportunity for a comprehensive ophthalmologist to join a collegial group with a steady referral base and excellent administrative and clinical support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a broad range of general ophthalmic conditions, performing cataract surgery, and—if trained—handling subspecialty cases in glaucoma or cornea. Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, patient-centered comprehensive ophthalmic care Perform cataract surgery with access to advanced technology and surgical support Diagnose and manage a range of anterior segment disorders Optionally manage glaucoma or corneal disease, depending on training and interest Participate in call coverage on a rotating basis (minimal and well-structured) Collaborate closely with in-house optometrists and co-managing providers Contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the practice Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. with completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology Fellowship training in
glaucoma
or
cornea
(preferred but not required) Training and interest in refractive surgery (preferred but not required) Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Illinois Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical skills Commitment to excellent patient care and team-based practice What We Offer
