Job Summary The Supply Chain department manages all aspects of procurement for The Aerospace Corporation. We offer the opportunity to be part of a diverse team that purchases a wide range of capital, indirect and government funded products and services including IT, specialized equipment, facilities services and engineering, design, and construction. As the Senior Strategic Sourcing Buyer – Indirect (Subcontracts Admin Staff IV), you will provide your experience and understanding of strategic sourcing and procurement of indirect/direct goods and services.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead complex strategic sourcing and procurement activities and manage strategic supplier contracts of indirect goods and services for The Aerospace Corporation

Evaluate and improve sourcing activities, analyzing current suppliers and cost

Complete formal market analysis to investigate market behaviors, trends and influences on the category requirement

Identify the best contract approach, pricing model, and category management governance

Lead RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, RFSs, supplier/source selection, proposal evaluation teams, negotiations (with internal stakeholders like legal and risk management and external with the supplier) and awarding best value contracts

Evaluate current need and forecast product and services demands for assigned contracts

Implement procedures to continuously evaluate suppliers, costs and deliverability

Administer and lead post-award supplier management/administration, including SRM, continuous improvement / transformation / innovation as required

What You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements for Subcontracts Admin Staff IV :

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field

8 years of supply chain experience with 5 years of relevant procurement strategic sourcing and contracting

Strong skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Demonstrated understanding and execution of the entire procurement cycle

Technical leadership and contractual competencies to form strategies to construct and execute contractual activities utilizing various contracting types that are developed based on the need of each organization

Experience establishing/developing appropriately scaled SRM framework

Advanced project management skills to build, manage, and meet effective procurement schedules

Advanced financial acumen and analytical skills required to construct pricing strategies/exhibits, conduct bid evaluation, and justify pricing reasonableness

How You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

Ariba/SAP experience

Aerospace industry experience

Experience setting up strategic purchasing agreements related to indirect categories including but not limited to: office supplies, IT-related materials & services, marketing-related services, capital, HR related services (recruitment, training, contract labor), travel management services, professional services (consultants), facilities maintenance/repair/operations, and design/construction sourcing methodologies (e.g., Job Order Contracts)

Compensation We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

(Min - Max) $107,000 - $160,500

Pay Basis: Annual
