The Associate CMO works with the CMO to coordinate and oversee medical affairs in line with strategic and business plans and has direct reports within the clinical leader team. Position Summary

The Associate Chief Medical Officer reports to the CMO and assists with ensuring the quality and effectiveness of clinical care throughout the health center. The Associate CMO helps coordinate and oversee medical affairs consistent with strategic plans and will have direct reports within the clinical leader team. Key Responsibilities

Assist the CMO with development and implementation of strategic priorities related to clinical practice redesign, growth, operational integrity, and financial strength. Assist with development and implementation of programs that improve clinical quality and patient safety. Lead, mentor, and supervise leader of the clinical leader team. Mission, Vision and Leadership

Meet the needs of our population. Make NeighborHealth the provider of choice. Collaborate with the CMO to translate the vision into a plan and promote a collaborative approach to supporting the mission and vision. Set a tone of respect, trust, integrity and high expectations. Maintain knowledge of health care reform and its impact on clinical services; prepare for future payment models and clinical models to set NeighborHealth up for success; educate provider staff on future models of care and reimbursement. Mentor Medical Directors, providers and staff; oversee program development in all clinical areas. Quality, Safety and Compliance

Co-lead clinical transformation to adapt to changing reimbursement models. Participate in committees (e.g., Medication Safety Committee, Performance Improvement Committee) and lead the Interdisciplinary Treatment Review team; investigate serious patient complaints; review policies; oversee vaccine management. Collaborate with external partners (e.g., BMC administrators) to improve systems of care, clinical communication, and patient safety. Oversee regulatory and legal compliance including HIPAA, CME, contracts, and audits; ensure compliance with ED waivers, SEF requirements, Serious Reportable Events, and state reporting. Oversee infection control functions and risk management; manage influenza campaigns and related activities. Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives and risk management activities. Clinical and Administrative Requirements

Primary Care Clinical Hours: 12; Primary Care Follow Up: 3; Associate CMO Admin Hours: 25. Maintain an active Primary Care Panel; provide leadership across provider staff, recruitment, supervision, performance management and policy application. Promote equity in provider compensation and support physician performance management and chart closure improvements. Oversee financial stewardship, grants collaboration, and opportunities for efficiency and waste reduction. Miscellaneous
