Overview
The University of Virginia Department of Pediatrics and Division of Primary Care Pediatrics invite applications for Division Director of Primary Care Pediatrics. Academic pediatric generalists at the rank of Associate or Full Professor are encouraged to apply. This position may be tenure-eligible depending on the candidate's credentials. The Division Director will lead the faculty in all clinical and academic mission areas, including clinical service, education of trainees at all levels, research program development, and administrative activities of all divisional programs. The Director will create and implement the vision and goals for the Division, in alignment with the broader strategic plans for the Department of Pediatrics and UVA Health Children. Responsibilities
Coordinate and enhance all clinical, academic, and research activities of the Division. Develop and implement the Division's vision and goals in alignment with the Department of Pediatrics and UVA Health. Oversee all divisional faculty, support professional and personal development, and foster high-quality, innovative training. Support research activities within the division and promote a culture of inquiry, quality improvement, scholarly excellence, and innovation across all missions. Lead administrative efforts to create an environment of excellence and innovation in clinical practice that supports positive patient outcomes. Actively participate in clinical service. Qualifications
Established academic generalist with strong leadership skills. Active research program is preferred but not required. Commitment to community outreach and to advancing care for children. About UVA Health and the Division
