Overview West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute\'s Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery are actively recruiting a board certified/eligible cardiothoracic surgeon (ranks available: Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor) with a specialty interest in Adult Cardiac Surgery. The candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill such duties at these additional sites.
Responsibilities
Practice in the area of cardiothoracic surgery.
Provide excellent patient care.
Be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligible for state medical license.
Completed a general surgery residency program and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship program.
Board eligible/certified in cardiothoracic surgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Location & Travel Based in Morgantown, WV, with potential duties at satellite clinics at the department\'s discretion. Travel to additional sites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania may be required.
