Overview Medical Eye Associates is thrilled to announce an opportunity for a full-time board-certified or board-eligible medical ophthalmologist to join our physician-led, established and growing medical group.

Celebrating over 85 years of providing comprehensive surgical, medical, and vision care to the community, Medical Eye Associates is an industry leader in Ophthalmology in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties.

MEA’s team of skilled, award-winning, and compassionate physicians and surgeons are committed to being the experts in Ophthalmology. We use leading technologies and the most current techniques to provide safe, reliable, quality eye care. It is our mission at Medical Eye Associates to provide the highest quality, best possible comprehensive surgical, medical and vision care to our patients.

Our team of 6 ophthalmologists treat patients for a variety of ocular and periocular conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, eyelid lesions and cancers, and disorders of the lacrimal system. Our surgical specialties include cataract surgery, traditional and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, cosmetic and reconstructive oculoplastic surgery. Our 2 optometrists offer vision exams and specialty contact lens fittings as well!

Position Highlights

High volume clinic, 30-40 patients per day with dedicated scribe.

Supportive, experienced and dedicated clinical & administrative staff.

Partnership track available.

After hours call with ophthalmology support is required.

Position Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or foreign equivalent

Completion of three year post graduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in ophthalmology

Board Eligible/Board Certified in Ophthalmology

Current, unrestricted Wisconsin State license or be eligible for licensure

Active Drug Enforcement Authority (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration

Active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll

Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or eligible for completion

Strong communication skills both oral and written

Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office
