Brokerage The Stock Lending, Margin & Sweeps (SMS) team's mission is to build long term investment products that grow with the needs of our customers. Stock Lending, Margin and Sweeps are high impact features owned by this team and any incremental changes to them will have a significant impact on our revenue streams. We constantly iterate on the product offerings based on user research and Market data and Tiered Margin rates is one such offering that’s recently launched and well received by our user base. As a core and senior member in the SMS team, you will have the opportunity to build a very scalable and reliable platform that powers our features i.e SLIP (Stock lending), Margin and Sweeps. International The Internalization team’s goal is to democratize finance globally by expanding Robinhood into different countries - starting with the United Kingdom. The team solves challenges such as scaling our products to support many regions and building products specific to these local markets that allow us to best serve our customers. Crypto The Crypto team is dedicated to pushing boundaries and constantly innovating to stay ahead in the fast-paced world of cryptocurrency. Build scalable systems and components, making the right tradeoffs to account for stability and long-term maintainability. Design, write, test, and release product-facing features with stringent correctness and scalability requirements. Collaborate with our frontend and data teams to fine tune our REST APIs supporting millions of customers. Mentor junior developers on the team and lead project of large complexity Identify opportunities to improve system performance, team productivity and reduce risk What you bring
5+ years of software development experience. 3+ years experience writing low latency, large scale distributed systems. Familiarity with writing highly concurrent systems and good intuition for REST API design. Proven experience working on large projects with long-term impact on a single system or team. Strong technical grasp with excellent judgment on task prioritizations. Ability to solve complex engineering problems that deliver results aligned with team objectives.
