Welcome Group, Inc. is seeking a

Corporate Director of Finance & Accounting

to oversee the financial operations, strategic planning, and reporting of our growing hospitality platform. Welcome Group currently owns and operates

12 hotel properties , with plans to expand through

third-party management agreements

in addition to continued ownership and development. This position will work closely with

Eight Form , our asset management and development arm, to ensure financial alignment on new builds, redevelopments, and capital projects while also supporting Welcome Group’s existing and third-party management portfolio. The role is based in

Santa Monica, CA

(corporate headquarters), with the option to sit in

San Diego, CA

(via Eight Form’s Industrious office membership). While travel to hotel properties is expected, this position is not remote. Reporting directly to the

President

of

Welcome Group , the Director will oversee the Corporate Controller and provide leadership to all on-property finance teams. The ideal candidate combines deep hospitality finance expertise with strong leadership skills, strategic vision, and the ability to leverage technology, AI, and predictive analytics to optimize business performance across a diverse and expanding portfolio. Experience working with centralized accounting

offshore teams

(particularly in

India ) is strongly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable coordinating across time zones and collaborating effectively with offshore resources to ensure smooth project execution. Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Growth

- Develop and execute corporate financial strategies to support growth, profitability, and expansion into third-party hotel management. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

- Oversee the preparation of property-level and consolidated budgets and forecasts; lead variance analysis and deliver actionable insights to drive operating performance. Ensure compliance with

USALI

and hospitality accounting standards. Financial Reporting

- Deliver timely and accurate consolidated financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow); present financial results, risks, and opportunities to ownership, lenders, and executive leadership; prepare board and investor reporting as needed. Policies, Controls & Compliance

- Establish and enforce internal controls, SOPs, and financial policies across all properties; oversee multi-state payroll and tax compliance; ensure readiness for external audits and alignment with GAAP. Cash Flow & Risk Management

- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and debt covenant compliance; develop strategies to mitigate financial risk and optimize working capital. Technology & Data Infrastructure

- Lead the transition and ongoing adoption of NetSuite ERP across the organization; modernize financial systems, reporting tools, and data management; champion adoption of AI, predictive analytics, and data visualization tools to enhance forecasting and decision-making. Team Leadership

- Provide direct oversight of the Corporate Controller; lead and mentor on-property finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability, development, and continuous improvement; establish clear performance standards and reporting consistency across all properties. Stakeholder Partnership

- Collaborate with operations, development, and asset management teams to align financial strategy with business goals; support financial due diligence, onboarding, and integration of new third-party management contracts and acquisitions. Travel

- Conduct regular site visits to properties for financial reviews, team leadership, and operational alignment. Qualifications

Education

: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred. Experience

: Minimum of 10 years in finance and accounting leadership, with at least 5 years in a hospitality industry senior role (multi-property experience preferred). Technical Expertise

: Strong knowledge of GAAP, USALI, audit processes, and multi-state payroll/tax compliance. Systems & Technology

: Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and NetSuite ERP implementation and management (required). Comfort with AI-driven tools and BI platforms. Leadership

: Proven ability to lead multi-property finance teams, including Controllers and on-property staff. Strategic Acumen

: Track record of driving financial performance, supporting acquisitions/development, and building scalable processes for growth. Communication

: Strong ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders. Compensation & Benefits

Salary range:

$150,000 – $200,000 , plus potential performance bonus. Full-time, senior leadership position. Health
