Overview

The University of Southern California (USC) invites applications for the position of Professor of Research Surgery (Cardiothoracic) in the USC Department of Surgery. This is a non-Tenure track Professor of Research role with the opportunity to collaborate with an existing team on the Health Sciences Campus and, where appropriate, develop an independent research program and submit independent and/or collaborative grant proposals as a principal investigator. The position is located in Los Angeles, California. Responsibilities

Collaborate with an existing team of investigators on the Health Sciences Campus of USC. Support the goals of the team of investigators while developing an independent research program when applicable. Submit independent and/or collaborative grant proposals as a principal investigator. Engage in teaching and basic science research activities as part of the department's missions. Qualifications

Ph.D., M.D., and/or equivalent degree in Molecular & Cell Biology with an emphasis in Cancer biology and Immunology. Advanced investigative-research skills with prior experience in Epigenetics, Epigenomics, Bioinformatics, Cancer, Lung Biology and/or Molecular Biology. Publication and/or funding records in these fields. Strong interest in teaching and basic science research. Application Process
