Strider Technologies is seeking a people-first engineering leader to guide and scale our high-performing, product-focused development teams. In this role, you’ll lead multiple cross-functional engineering pods responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable software systems that power our mission to protect innovation in a new era of global strategic competition. You’ll drive technical excellence, foster team growth, and partner closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that matter. What Youind Do
Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product focused software engineers and QA engineers
Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of team members
Collaborate with business owners, product managers, and other technology teams to define roadmaps, set priorities, and execute strategies effectively
Lead and manage large-scale, complex projects with broad organizational impact and long-term business implications
Build, mentor, and retain top technical talent while fostering a culture of innovation, growth, and inclusion
Manage technical risks, reduce debt, and optimize for long-term scalability and maintainability
Facilitate sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and cross-functional alignment
Serve as a technical escalation point and steward of engineering process and tools
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in a leadership role; 8+ years overall in software engineering
Strong leadership and people management skills — coaching, feedback, career development
Solid software foundation with modern engineering practices in distributed systems, architecture, and scalability
Extensive experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Node.js
Extensive experience with Database engines such as SQL Server, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch
Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD, and engineering tooling
Experience shaping process and delivering high-quality software in an agile environment
Experience with penetration testing and updating software to fix found security vulnerabilities preferred
Experience with SOC2 and ISO certification compliance standards preferred
Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Bonus Points
Background in security, infrastructure, or large-scale engineering operations
Experience working with remote or distributed engineering teams
Familiarity with strategic intelligence, data-heavy platforms, or regulated industries
