Researching laws and preparing legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda Rendering opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department Preparing and handling pleadings, motions, and discovery, to include depositions/examinations before trial and examinations under oath, and defending by trial or dispositive hearing, all matters assigned Qualifications
2-6+ years of experience in litigation experience on insurance/defense/and or personal injury REQUIRED Juris Doctor degree REQUIRED Admission to the California Bar REQUIRED Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in California and meet licensing requirements including mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements where applicable Must be able to travel as required for trials, hearings, depositions, management meetings and conferences Must be able to document files in a clear, concise, professional written manner Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts, and have strong organization and multi-tasking skills Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information Preferred Qualifications
Civil litigation experience Insurance defense-related litigation experience Professional communication in person, by telephone and in written correspondence Location
REMOTE Base pay range
$112,750.00/yr - $186,550.00/yr Salary and offer details
