We are seeking a System Development Engineer to support our Event Engineering team. This team ensures the video quality and stability of large and strategically important streaming events. You will be part of a team of Event Engineers that supports events by assisting in event planning, providing an onsite presence during events, serving as a technical point of contact for third parties, engaging in high touch onboarding, troubleshooting video problems and supporting feature development activities such as Enhanced Broadcasting.
Responsibilities
Provide pre-production consulting, capacity planning, preflight testing and active monitoring for events from both remote and onsite contexts
Act as a technical point of contact for third-parties
Engage in high-touch onboarding for Twitch partners, VIPs and other strategic individuals
Troubleshoot video problems for other Twitch teams
Assist product teams with video-related Twitch feature development

Requirements
2+ years of experience designing live production setups
Proven ability to deliver under pressure in a live environment (preferably TV or streaming video)
Ability to collaborate with Network, Ops, Systems and Software Engineers on improving event execution, application performance and system requirements
Strong organization, communication and collaboration skills
Experience with AWS Interactive Video Service (IVS)
A passion for eSports and gaming events
Experience in event management (eSports experience preferred)
Software development experience in any language

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year to $201,200/year, with potential equity, sign-on payments, and other compensation as part of a total package.
