Overview
Provide substation engineering and consulting services for projects across the U.S. and internationally. Responsible for protection & control and/or physical layout design for high-voltage (13kV–500kV) substations, from small distribution upgrades to large transmission projects. Key Responsibilities
Design substation layouts, grounding, lightning protection, AC/DC power systems, and control building arrangements. Develop protection and control schematics, one-lines, wiring diagrams, and relay panel designs. Prepare proposals, cost estimates, schedules, engineering studies, and equipment specifications. Coordinate with civil, structural, and transmission teams; provide client updates and quality reviews. Mentor junior engineers and support construction field activities. Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (ABET) and 3+ years of electrical engineering experience required; Master’s with 2+ years accepted. EIT certification preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD/MicroStation and standard engineering software. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
