Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception through completion. This role requires strong technical expertise in civil design, proven project management skills, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams while maintaining client relationships and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
Lead, plan, and manage civil engineering projects including land development, infrastructure, and water resources. Serve as primary client contact, ensuring strong communication, satisfaction, and long-term relationship building. Direct and oversee project teams, delegating tasks and mentoring junior engineers and staff. Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables. Prepare, review, and seal engineering plans, specifications, and reports. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, permitting requirements, and industry standards. Support business development through proposal preparation, presentations, and participation in client and industry meetings. Provide leadership in quality assurance, safety, and continuous process improvement. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s ). Professional Engineer (PE) license required. 10–15+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, including at least 3–5 years in project management. Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles, codes, and standards. Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar). Skills
Experience in [specific focus area: e.g., land development, stormwater, drainage, water/wastewater, etc.]. Strong client network and ability to contribute to business development. Knowledge of local agency and DSA requirements. Familiarity with sustainable design practices and innovative engineering solutions. Salary based on experience/qualifications.
