Civil Engineer (Entry Level)
role at Tap Growth ai. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support infrastructure projects, assist in design and planning, and contribute to creating sustainable solutions that improve communities and enhance public safety.

Work Mode:
Onsite; requires 25% field travel
Pay Rate:
$28–30/hr on W2
Duration:
1 year
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. Some weekend work may be required. This is a 35-hour/week position.
Project Description Support MTA-NYCT Track Design and Specification projects.
Responsibilities
Perform surveys using topographical instruments
Draft using CADD
Design and write contract specifications and reports
Provide field technical support through visual inspections and construction drawings
Qualifications
A four-year college degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or college
Valid New York State Driver License
Ability to walk extended distances on irregular surfaces (tunnel tracks, yards, elevated walkways)
Ability to adapt to environmental elements and conditions
Climb/descent ladders and carry surveying equipment (20 lbs.) for at least 1,500 ft
Work outside in summer and winter
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work independently and as part of a team
Special Skills / Training
Walk for extended periods on irregular surfaces
Adapt to environmental elements (debris, grease, enclosed spaces, poor lighting, wet conditions, high noise, pests, high elevations)
Description of Work The individual will support engineering activities within the Track Engineering office and assist in the design and construction of railway projects of varied size and complexity—mainly trackwork and track switches—in accordance with NYCT standards and procedures.
