What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Oversee and manage all payroll operations for a remote workforce across 48 states
Develop and maintain payroll strategies, policies, and performance goals
Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements
Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and issue resolution
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation in payroll operations
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
8 - 10 years of related work experience
3 - 5 years of supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance requirements
Experience working with payroll providers and third-party service providers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Knowledge of the end-to-end payroll process
Experience creating payroll policies and procedures
Familiarity with various payroll systems, including Workday and ADP
Some accounting experience preferred
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred
