The Engineering Team Lead is an engineering management position responsible for providing technical engineering oversight and design team management for engineering projects they are assigned. This role provides financial, resource allocation, logistic and technical leadership and may mentor and train staff under their supervision. What you’ll do
Possess the ability to understand project requirements and develop a design fee for the work requested. Prepare and oversee work plans for engineering and production resources. Oversee Engineers, Designers and Modeling staff assigned to team or project work. Communicate with Project Manager (PM) or Executive regarding effort required to accomplish expected deliverables; may include developing requests for additional services for submittal to the PM or Owner. Lead the Engineering CAC effort and interaction with the project PM. Able to resolve a variety of complex problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements). Supervise the coordination of the project with city, state, and county officials, and other regulatory agencies. Attend project design meetings with the overall Design Build Team. Perform Job Site Visits to review installation or assess current conditions. Perform Value Engineering studies. Act as Engineer of Record for projects within responsibility. Understand that duties may be expanded or reassigned based on the position’s role within the business unit. What you bring to us
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences. Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of Engineering experience. Registration as a licensed US-based Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required. Field experience is strongly recommended. Education and experience can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Competencies

Knowledge of engineering processes and calculations including load calculations, equipment layout, distribution, lighting, codes, and standards. Working knowledge of equipment and system testing and commissioning. Ability to coordinate with others and analyze complex engineering problems. Ability to oversee Electrical System Studies (e.g., Short Circuit, Arc Flash, Voltage Drop). Management skills including work planning, resource management, fee development, staff oversight and development. Knowledge of electrical construction and Building/Local Codes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Oracle preferred. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing requirements. Strong communication skills and self-motivation; effective team player. Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, vendors, clients and partners. Travel
Up to 25% Working conditions
General indoor work environment; varying conditions on job sites. Noise level typically low to medium; may be loud on a job site. Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
