Plumbing Design Engineer (Lead & Senior) – Multiple Sectors

Position Overview: As a Lead/Senior Plumbing Design Engineer at Henderson Engineers, you will contribute your expertise to our six market sectors (Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue). We integrate engineering knowledge with on-site experience from Henderson Building Solutions to deliver a distinct client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively advise and mentor less experienced designers and engineers, providing oversight and technical guidance. Take responsibility for the success of those under direct supervision. Design advanced building systems, prepare design documents, and perform engineering calculations in coordination with project teams and multiple disciplines; train, mentor, and lead design staff; may supervise others; involve in business development, operations, and risk management. Lead project and design efforts from concept through completion. Produce solutions to complex engineering problems and design challenges. Ensure drawings, specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements. Develop tools, resources, and company practices; implement and reinforce design and engineering standards at the team level. Oversee project and design quality through the quality review process and regular check-ins; may provide final reviews for projects under purview. Required Qualifications
Lead Level
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of engineering (mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural) with 11 years of relevant experience, or 13 years without a degree. A PE license may count toward 1 year of experience. Advanced knowledge of engineering design, A&E industry standards, codes, design guides, and a broad range of practice types. Knowledge of earned value, contracts, and construction processes/methods. Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu. Senior Level
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of engineering with 15 years of relevant experience; commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of degree. A PE license may count toward 1 year of experience. Expert knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry standards, codes, and a broad range of practice types. Working knowledge of earned value, contracts, and construction processes/methods. Working knowledge of Revit and Bluebeam Revu. Preferred Qualifications (both Lead And Senior Levels)
Professional Engineering (PE) license. FE exam, LEED and/or WELL accreditation. Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry standards, applicable to a range of practices and projects. Let’s Talk Perks
