Immediate Senior Mechanical Engineering Opportunity! As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be a pivotal member of the project development and execution team, providing hands-on engineering expertise in developing a variety of electromechanical assemblies for government customers. You will oversee projects and schedules while collaborating closely with the R&D team on prototype builds, testing, and analysis. Responsibilities

Design mechanical parts and assemblies with approximately 100-500 parts using SolidWorks, working closely with electrical and chemical engineers, adhering to Mil-Std requirements. Create 2D drawings in SolidWorks, focusing on design for manufacturing, and maintain organized SolidWorks part and assembly files with a preference for experience in PDM. Serve as a project manager for complete projects, maintaining an up-to-date BOM for assemblies. Lead prototype builds and work hands-on with the team. Collaborate directly with vendors and the purchasing department to procure prototype components. Essential Skills

Expertise in SolidWorks for designing mechanical parts and assemblies, particularly electromechanical assemblies like gears, pumps, motion systems, and metallic components. 7+ years of Mechanical Design engineering experience, preferably within the aerospace and defense industry. Proficiency in R&D, new product introduction, new product development, and concept development. Ability to manage projects from design through prototype build, testing, and production. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience in GD&T, CAD, sheet metal, project management, 3D modeling, and BOM. Familiarity with aerospace, aerospace engineering, aerospace design, defense aerospace, Mil standards, AS9100, ISO 9001, project engineering, and R&D engineering. Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tustin, California. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
