We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the design, development, test, production, and sustainment of tactical communications and C4ISR systems. The ideal candidate has a strong systems-of-systems background, hands-on test and analysis experience, and familiarity with modern open architecture constructs used in DoD programs. Responsibilities

Lead systems engineering activities across the program lifecycle: requirements capture, system architecture, design, implementation oversight, integration, verification/validation, production support, and sustainment. Develop and maintain system-of-systems architectures for tactical communication and C4ISR solutions. Plan, design, and execute test programs, laboratory analyses, and scientific evaluations; analyze and interpret test and research results to drive engineering decisions. Define interfaces, data models, and interoperability requirements between mission systems and supporting subsystems. Support development and implementation of open architecture standards and modular architectures to enable rapid integration and reuse. Work with cross-functional teams (software, RF, waveform, hardware, cybersecurity, program management) to ensure technical compliance and schedule alignment. Produce technical artifacts: architecture diagrams, interface control documents (ICDs), test plans/reports, risk assessments, and technical briefs for stakeholders and government customers. Support technical reviews (PDR/CDR/FPR), government demonstrations, and integration events; provide subject matter expertise during acquisition and sustainment activities. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous process improvement. Minimum qualifications

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or other related engineering or computer science discipline. Security Clearance:

Current Top Secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). The Government will consider proposed personnel with a Top Secret Eligible status as meeting the requirement. The offeror shall demonstrate that the proposed personnel supported a Top Secret project in their past work history. Experience (years):

Minimum seven (7) years of demonstrated experience with DoD development and program/project lifecycle: design, implementation, verification, production, and sustainment for tactical communication systems and C4ISR systems. Minimum seven (7) years of demonstrated experience designing tests, laboratory analyses, scientific analyses, and interpretation of research results for tactical communication systems and C4ISR systems. Minimum seven (7) years of demonstrated experience with system-of-systems architecture of tactical communication systems and C4ISR systems. Additional (within past 10 years):

Five (5) years of demonstrated experience with open architecture constructs like SOSA, C5ISR/CMOSS, Open Mission Systems/Universal Command and Control Interface (OMS/UCI), Agile Mission Suite (AMS), and Government Reference Architectures (GRA). Desired qualifications

Within the past 10 years: Five (5) years of demonstrated experience with LPD (Low Probability of Detection) and LPI (Low Probability of Intercept) waveforms and anti-jam capabilities for tactical communication systems. Practical experience with RF/waveform integration, modem architectures, and anti-jamming techniques. Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo, MagicDraw) and systems engineering processes (SEBoK, DoDAF). Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, MATLAB, or similar) for data analysis and automation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience coordinating with government program offices and integrators. What we offer

Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement). Opportunity to work on cutting-edge tactical communications and C4ISR programs with direct government/customer engagement. Professional growth, training, and certification support. Seniority level
