Senior Botanist/Wetland Ecologist role available in Sacramento, San Francisco & Northern CA. ICF’s Environment & Planning Division seeks a senior-level Botanist/Wetland Ecologist to support projects across Sacramento, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Northern California. Starting pay range: $100,000 to $130,000 depending on qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and location. What You Will Do

Conduct small to large-scale field surveys for vegetation mapping, wetland delineation, and rare plants. Travel to field sites throughout Northern California, occasionally to Southern California. Occasionally travel one to three nights per week, especially in spring and summer. Respond promptly to deployment and deliverable requests, including last-minute needs. Work collaboratively in a team environment; use GPS and mapping technologies to collect and synthesize field data. Manage botanical and delineation tasks and coordinate with regulatory specialists to support regulatory guidance. Prepare botanical inventory reports, aquatic resources delineation reports, and other technical documents per current regulations. Prepare botanical and aquatic resources sections of CEQA documents and Caltrans NES reports. Qualifications

BS in Botany, Biology, Ecology, or related field 10+ years of wetland and related biological experience 5+ years of experience with California flora 5+ years of experience with aquatic resources delineations Additional Skills

Knowledge of soil science Knowledge of federal and state regulations surrounding wetlands and waterways (e.g., Clean Water Act Sections 404, 401, and Fish and Game Code Section 1600 et seq.) Ability to train less-experienced botanists and ecologists in field data collection and document preparation GIS software skills Ability to manage botanical or aquatic resources-related task orders Experience preparing proposal scopes and budgets Knowledge of wildlife resources and restoration practices Working at ICF

The pay range for this full-time position is $88,817.00 – $150,989.00, depending on factors such as relevant experience, skills, location, and contract provisions.
