We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Energy Analyst
to join our growing team. This role will focus on supporting building energy modeling, sustainability analysis, and performance optimization for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with building energy simulation tools and a basic understanding of HVAC systems. Responsibilities
Develop and run building energy models using tools such as
Trane TRACE, eQUEST, EnergyPlus, or WUFI Analyze and interpret simulation results to evaluate energy efficiency strategies, HVAC system performance, and building envelope design Support sustainability initiatives such as LEED, WELL, or other certification programs by providing energy modeling documentation Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and sustainability specialists to integrate energy analysis into project design Conduct parametric studies to compare design alternatives and optimize building performance Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and client deliverables summarizing energy modeling results Stay current on energy codes, standards, and emerging technologies in building performance and HVAC design Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Building Science, or related field Familiarity with energy modeling software (e.g.,
Trane TRACE, eQUEST, EnergyPlus, WUFI ) Rudimentary understanding of HVAC systems and how they interact with building energy performance Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills Effective written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Skills
Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and local/state energy codes Experience supporting LEED or other green building certification programs Familiarity with building envelope performance and thermal comfort analysis Proficiency in Excel, Python, or other tools for data analysis and automation
