We are transforming cell-based applications with robust, scalable, and reproducible controls, including TruCytes Biomarker controls, SpectraComp compensation controls, ViaComp cell health controls, and FlowCytes instrument controls. Our TruCytes cell mimics replicate real cells’ optical and biochemical properties without the sourcing, quality, or cost challenges of traditional controls. They are trusted in cell-based applications across cell therapy, drug development, and diagnostics, enabling process and analytical development, quality control, potency assessments, multi-site validations, clinical research studies, and assay development and validation.

Location: Emeryville, CA. This position is hybrid, with 3-4 days on-site per week.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management & Compliance : Maintain and expand the QMS to meet ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and cGMP requirements, including document control, training, and change management.

Operations & Quality Oversight : Manage CAPA, deviations, complaints, audits, ensure inspection readiness across all operations and track key quality metrics.

Process Improvements : Oversee product quality checks, batch record review, supplier qualification, and raw material release.

Continuous Improvement : Support tech transfer, process validation, SOP development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Client & Deliverable Support : Review data packages and client deliverables for compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, or related field.

4-7 years of experience in Quality within biotechnology, medical device, diagnostics, or life sciences manufacturing.

Knowledge of ISO 13485, cGMP, CAP/CLIA regulations.

Experience with quality documentation, audits, and QMS tools.

Hands-on experience with laboratory or manufacturing processes; exposure to flow cytometry methods is a strong plus.

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this full-time position is between $105,000 to $120,000 + equity + benefits.
