Serenity Knolls, a leading addiction treatment center nestled in the serene hills of California, is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Business Development to join its leadership team. This key role will focus on driving strategic growth, building strong referral networks, and expanding partnerships to support the center’s mission of providing compassionate, evidence-based care. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of behavioral health services, strong relationship-building skills, and a results-oriented mindset to help Serenity Knolls reach and serve more individuals on their path to recovery. Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with hospital discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physicians and management to generate referral sources and provide education to staff. Work with all levels of facility and division sales leadership to support the organization’s mission and revenue goals by communicating service line attributes, processes and outcomes to consumer, physician and market groups. Collaborate with facility and division leaders to evaluate, analyze and interpret market utilization data for facility service lines. Build strong collaborative relationships with admissions/intake. Develop and implement a comprehensive internal and external marketing plan to increase revenues and profits for the facility. Ensure referral priorities align with the vision and strategic goals of the organization. Document all activity promptly in the company Customer Relationship Manager (Salesforce). Evaluate, analyze and interpret market demographics, including population, age, gender, race and projected trends for patient populations. Collaborate with division and/or market physician services, facility leaders and medical staff leadership to develop sales and retention strategies for facility services. Execute referrals and retention strategies/plans effectively, adapting strategies to ensure quality outcomes for referral sources and the facility. Close new referral sources and conduct face-to-face meetings with referral sources to ensure understanding of available services; complete follow-up meetings as needed. Prepare and present regular reports identifying trends, additional referral opportunities and obstacles to retention and growth. Provide staff management including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective department operation. Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Experience in healthcare business development (five or more years) required. One or more years of supervisory experience required. LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, maintain automobile insurance coverage and have access to an automobile, where the facility requires.
