We are seeking an experienced
Associate Director – Lean Deployment
to lead and sustain Operational Excellence initiatives across Technical Operations in a highly regulated biotech environment. This role will be pivotal in deploying lean management systems, driving value stream improvements, and enabling cultural transformation. The successful candidate will collaborate with global peers, functional leaders, and frontline staff to deliver measurable outcomes in supply chain, quality, and technical services. Key Responsibilities
Lead the
deployment of the Daily Management System (DMS)
across U.S. operations, ensuring alignment between business strategy and operational execution. Partner with global Lean counterparts on large-scale initiatives, including
Lean Labs, Value Stream Management, and diagnostic workshops . Launch and oversee at least
one high-value initiative annually , delivering measurable business impact. Facilitate cross-functional workshops to build trust, alignment, and collaboration across all organizational levels. Proactively engage in
enterprise-level initiatives , offering leadership or support as needed. Champion
Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices , ensuring sustainability and scalability of OE programs. Foster a culture of
innovation, agility, and problem-solving
across technical operations. Candidate Profile
Experience:
10+ years in
biopharma, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries . Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Lean / Six Sigma Expertise:
Certified Black Belt, Lean Leader, or equivalent. Demonstrated success in
implementing and sustaining management systems
at site, regional, or enterprise level. Knowledge of
cGMPs, regulatory compliance, and biotech/life sciences operations
strongly preferred. Skilled change leader with the ability to
shift culture and behaviors
in complex organizations. Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Personal traits:
humble, flexible, self-starter, and highly collaborative . Seniority level
