Position Summary Are you a passionate litigator ready to make a real impact? We are seeking a dynamic Associate Attorney with a desire to gain hands-on, substantive experience from day one. This is not a document-review role; this is your opportunity to litigate, take depositions, and make regular courtroom appearances as you manage your own docket from inception through trial.
Responsibilities
Manage your own docket of employment law cases from inception through trial.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial briefs.
Take and defend depositions.
Appear in court to argue motions and advocate for clients.
Engage with clients and help shape case strategy.
Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations.
Assist in trial preparation and serve as second chair where applicable.
Qualifications
Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
1–6 years of litigation experience (employment law preferred).
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to manage cases independently and meet deadlines.
A strong desire to grow as a trial lawyer and litigator.
Experience with trial or trial-prep is a significant plus.
What We Offer
Immediate Hands-on Litigation: Gain substantive experience with immediate client interaction and courtroom appearances.
Mentorship & Professional Growth: One-on-one guidance from seasoned trial lawyers and in-house workshops.
Base Salary: $130,000–$165,000 annually (DOE).
Performance-Based Commission: Up to 5.5% commission.
Generous Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; a $500 annual FSA contribution; and an industry-leading 401(k) plan with a 3% Safe Harbor + 7% Profit Sharing Contribution.
Paid Expenses: All bar dues and MCLE allowances covered by the firm.
