Partner Engineer, Music Publishing, YouTube. You will be a technologist responsible for the success of YouTube’s largest partnerships, providing technical advice and support to licensing partners, leading deployments, optimizing implementations, and driving new business opportunities in the music publishing space. Responsibilities
Own the technical relationship with top partners and work with the Business Development team to discuss new agreements and ensure partners are successful on YouTube, helping to unlock rights to additional content for the YouTube community. Identify, drive, and optimize the flow from existing and new opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies through prototyping and innovation; develop systems, tools, and solutions to scale partner support. Perform implementation reviews, communicate and seek adoption of new product features and internal tools, and ensure prompt resolution of technical tests. Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering. Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP). 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python). Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL). Experience in a problem-solving role such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics. Experience or interest in the music industry. About The Job
The YouTube Music Partner Solutions team works with the Music Business Development team to license music rights on the platform through record labels, music publishers and collection societies agreements. The team serves as the bridge between Business, Product and Engineering, with the objective of growing the businesses of the Music Partners while enabling YouTube users to enjoy their content on our platform. In this role, you will have the opportunity to directly impact a business enjoyed by millions of music and content lovers. You will be a technologist responsible for the success of YouTube’s largest partnerships, providing great technical advice and support to licensing partners, leading deployments, optimizing implementations, driving new business opportunities, and seeking innovative solutions in the fluid world of digital content to build strong, successful, long-term partnerships. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $123,000-$176,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
