Overview

We are seeking an experienced Group Controller to provide strategic financial leadership across multiple manufacturing sites. This role will partner closely with site leadership, Division, and Corporate executives to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational excellence. The Group Controller will mentor and guide site Controllers, building strong teams and succession plans while driving performance improvement initiatives. Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and manage site Controllers in collaboration with the Regional SVP, fostering team growth and succession planning. Partner with the Regional SVP to implement strategic and tactical initiatives that improve financial performance and optimize working capital. Oversee monthly financial closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with US GAAP. Maintain ownership of site balance sheets, ensuring reconciliations are accurate and risks are minimized. Direct annual external audits and other applicable reviews. Prepare for and participate in quarterly Business Unit Reviews (BUR), providing detailed analysis and variance explanations to senior leadership. Monitor weekly KPIs with the Regional SVP to ensure monthly financial commitments are achieved. Leverage financial reporting and analysis tools to identify and drive operational and financial improvements. Conduct ad hoc analyses to evaluate business cases, challenge assumptions, and guide decision-making. Ensure accurate inventory valuation, physical inventory controls, and standard costing; oversee annual standard cost updates and overhead rate reviews. Review and ensure accuracy of customer quoting packages in partnership with site leadership and commercial teams. Review and challenge annual budgets, ensuring alignment with divisional goals and realistic expectations. Support accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting by equipping Controllers and Analysts with proper tools. Review and approve capital expenditures, including NPV, ROI, and payback period analyses, ensuring adherence to Capex and cash budgets. Maintain low levels of past-due receivables through effective credit and collections oversight. Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, GAAP, FASB standards, and Federal Defense Acquisition Regulations (as applicable). Support cost/pricing proposals and DCAA audits for defense-related contracts. Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence across all sites. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA in Finance strongly preferred. 10+ years of Accounting/Finance experience in a manufacturing environment. 5+ years of proven leadership experience. Background in manufacturing or aerospace industries preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Power BI and SQL experience a plus. Exceptional attention to detail with excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
