Overview Nova Biomedical is looking for a

Plastics Engineering

for the

JAN 2026

cycle in our Lexington Rd,

Billerica, MA

facility. Ideally, we are looking for a Co-Op student who is able to make a full-time 6-month commitment in the role. This is an excellent position for a Plastics Engineering undergraduate student to earn income while receiving hands-on experience learning injection molding, scientific molding, and troubleshooting techniques. This position will report to the Nova Biomedical’s Mold Shop and will assist the lead Plastics Processing Engineer with related processing, design, research, and metrology. Other

responsibilities

include:

Responsibilities

Assist with injection mold process development, troubleshooting, and process improvements.

Assist with injection mold validations (IQ, OQ, PQ).

Generate Engineering documentation including procedures, Engineering Change Orders (ECO), CAD drawings, metrology reports and more.

Assist with molding cell equipment installations.

Any other responsibilities assigned by the department’s Plastics Process Engineer.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies

Plastics Engineering undergraduate student (UMass Lowell)

Competent with Microsoft Word and Excel

Knowledge of SolidWorks is a plus

Knowledge of plastics injection molding is a plus

Mechanically inclined and capable with small hand tools
