Principal Systems Engineer

in a role committed to creating creative and cost-effective solutions for our ground and airborne systems. As part of the Collins Mission Systems team, we specialize in developing advanced communication systems, ground and flight computers, sensors, cyber and software solutions, as well as providing integration of Mission Systems. As part of the PCS Department, the Systems Engineering department supports a variety of communications systems including SATCOM (including AEHF, EHF, X-Band, Ka-Band, Ku-Band, C-Band, and PTW), Line-of-Site (LOS) Radio Terminals and Secure Switching Networks. What You Will Do

Lead system trade studies, requirements analysis, architecture, allocation to subsystems Manage numerous and undefined problems and issues requiring detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation Oversee the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to Validation Act as a Subject Matter Expert within discipline with advanced to expert knowledge of work area Manage moderately sized projects or processes Work to influence within and outside of work area at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures within the organization Influence decision-makers with recommended courses of action Coach and review the work of lower level professionals Qualifications You Must Have

Experience leading a team in requirements development and system architecture Knowledge of or application of Earned Value Management System (EVM) Proficient in tooling to include Microsoft products, or tasking boards (Jira, IBM EWM, etc.) Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer

Proficient in tooling to include CAMEO, Rhapsody Agile working environment experience Systems support to software application and hardware development System or application integration Proposal support experience including writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) Experience in Communication Radio and Systems: SATCOM, LOS/BLOS, AEHF, PTW, or V/UHF Experience in Scripting What We Offer
