The Payroll Analyst assists in the efficient operation of processing payroll. Performs duties related to payroll functions, including timely entering of payroll and payroll-related data in Workday, processing timely and accurate payrolls, compiling payroll statistics, completing payroll reporting requests, and maintaining payroll control records, in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws. Responsibilities
Review and processing of all payroll-related tickets in a timely manner while ensuring appropriate backup documentation, accuracy, and obtaining necessary approvals as required. Accurately process payroll and meet all deadlines. Create EIB files and submit them for upload into the Workday system. Conduct audits of payroll data and balance file totals to payroll totals. Save all supporting documentation and balancing reports to the shared drive. During bi-weekly payroll transmission, review benefits premium deductions on file feeds prior to submission of payroll. Prepare, process, and track wage garnishments and child support orders. Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential. Review and process any authorized employment verification requests within 48 business hours of receipt. Verify that payroll deduction benefit amounts for each pay period are accurately deducted from the employee's paycheck. Other duties as requested by management. Qualifications
2-3 years of multi-state payroll processing experience in a large scale customer-facing organization. High School Diploma or GED required. Microsoft Excel/spreadsheet analysis experience required. Hands-on experience with payroll software like ADP, Oracle, Workday, Ceridian, etc. Attention to detail and strong communication skills. Ability to exercise considerable discretion and judgement in handling the highest level of confidential information. Understanding of wage attachments such as garnishments, child support, levies, etc. Reliable and strong work ethic, professional appearance required. Ability to work both independently and in teams. Proactive, flexible, assertive, with a creative approach to problem solving. Bonus Points
FPC or CPP certification preferred. Associate’s degree in finance/accounting. Experience with Workday software. Equal Opportunity Employer
