The Psychiatric Institute of Washington (PIW) provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. PIW is a 130-bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. Senior Human Resources Generalist role: facilitates employee leave requests, data changes, assists with new hire orientation, manages position control, assists with employee engagement and Service Excellence initiatives, conducts 30/60/90 day check-ins, conducts employee relations investigations and manages the dispute resolution process. Consults with management and the Human Resources Director on employee relations issues, counseling and termination procedures. Coordinates the Employee Dispute Resolution Process activities and conducts related investigations and findings in a timely manner; reports and responds to all employees with respect to findings and outcomes. Coordinates audits and HRIS data entry for new hires, transfers, pay changes, address updates, and other employee information; ensures licensure verification for licensed-required positions at hire and renewal dates. Audits personnel files for current and accurate records; directs preparation of personnel-related documents for Joint Commission surveys. Collaborates with Department Heads to maintain compliance issues with staff, including competency, performance evaluations, orientation, and other required training. Initiates and tracks staff changes; conducts, tracks, and reports new-hire, transfer and promotion surveys. Qualifications
Requirements: This is not a remote position. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration required; Master’s degree preferred. 5+ years of hands-on experience in Human Resources in a HRBP, HR Generalist, or related role; prior experience in a healthcare organization highly desired. Five years of basic HRIS knowledge ( Lawson or other HRIS ); knowledge of iCIMS, i9 Advantage, Cisive, Equifax, Learning Management Systems, Performance Management Systems, and related tools is a plus. Effective communicator and collaborator; ability to work cooperatively within HR and other departments to achieve goals. Knowledge of full-cycle recruiting processes and regulations; Joint Commission Standards preferred. Strong written, speaking, and listening skills; detail-oriented with excellent time management and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; maintain confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Zoom.
