Applications are invited from Radiation Therapists in Training interested in fixed-term full time, part-time or casual employment for up to 12 months within The Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, or the North West Regional Hospital. Employment generally covers the period from completion of pre-entry tertiary program requirements until qualification is conferred and essential requirements for employment as an RT Level 1-2 are met. You will be required to carry out planning and treatment of patients with X-rays, electrons or radiation from sealed sources as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist, along with associated duties including patient care and general/technical administration. This Register will remain open to applicants until 30 June 2026 and will be reviewed regularly. The Register will not preclude other positions being advertised if warranted. $77,642 pro rata per annum + 11% superannuation Essential Requirements

Currently enrolled in the final year of a pre-entry tertiary program accredited by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia and hold student registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia The Head of the State Service requires pre-employment checks before appointment, including: Conviction checks in: Crimes of Violence, Sex Related Offences, Serious Drug Offences, Crimes involving dishonesty Identification check Disciplinary action in previous employment check Please note that some roles may require you to hold current Tasmanian Working With Vulnerable People Registration.
