Who You Are

As a Capital Project Methods Manager on the Project Management team, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing standardized methodologies, processes, and tools for the successful execution of capital projects. You will ensure that project delivery aligns with organizational objectives, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements by collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize project performance and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities and Duties

Design and implement standardized project management methodologies and frameworks for capital projects, ensuring consistency across all initiatives. Identify opportunities to streamline project processes, reduce costs, and enhance delivery timelines while maintaining quality standards. Select and deploy project management tools and software to support planning, tracking, and reporting of capital projects. Provide training and guidance to project teams on methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure effective adoption and compliance. Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate project success and identify areas for improvement. Develop and integrate risk assessment and mitigation strategies into project methodologies to minimize disruptions. Lead initiatives to review and update project management processes, incorporating lessons learned and industry advancements. Prepare and present reports on project performance, methodology adoption, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role focused on capital projects or process improvement. Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree a plus. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile). Proficiency in project management software (e.g., P6/OPC, ACC, Asana or equivalent). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of risk management, budgeting, and financial analysis. Ability to lead training sessions and drive change management initiatives. Experience with greenfield construction projects and/or new technology startups is a plus. Experience with online real-time reporting and dashboarding (e.g., Power BI, Hex, etc.) would be nice.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Move long distances and be stationary for extended periods of time 10-25% travel to and from build sites and engineering contractors' offices

The starting base pay for this role is between $151,000 and $218,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses.
