Assistant Director of Rooms
to assist in leading the Rooms Division, oversee a diverse team, and ensure excellence across the guest experience. You will guide department leaders, elevate service standards, resolve challenges with care, and drive operational and financial success. You will help create an environment where employees feel supported and empowered to deliver authentic, thoughtful service. What You Will Do Directly supervise Department Heads in the Rooms departments. Ensure thorough communication and follow-up on issues, guest or employee requests, and hotel initiatives. Interview and train the team. Conduct Performance Evaluations and discipline when needed. Resolve customer complaints from all areas of the hotel with hospitality and professionalism; accommodate special requests when possible. Build relationships with return guests, group contacts, and other guests to provide personalized service. Assist the Director of Rooms to meet financial goals. Monitor and control labor and divisional expenses; collaborate with Reservations, Sales, and Front Office to maximize rate, occupancy, and total revenue. Assist in business forecasts and annual budget preparation for the division. Review and monitor staff schedules across Rooms Division; ensure standards, staff support, and guest needs are met. Routinely inspect areas of responsibility. Maintain relationships with retail tenants and concessions to meet revenue and expense targets; suggest improvements to revenue, cost reduction, and guest satisfaction. Ensure Four Seasons Service and Culture standards are met; support programs that develop employee skills and career growth within the Rooms Division. Participate in long-range planning for the hotel as part of the Planning Committee in lieu of the Director of Rooms. Act on safety, security, guest and employee well-being; respond swiftly to emergencies. Assist in covering Manager on Duty shifts as needed for the operation. What You Bring College degree preferred. Four to six years of experience in luxury hotel/resort operations management. Excellent knowledge of Rooms Division Operations. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and guest service skills; problem-resolution ability. Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation. Strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, including Excel. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and build relationships. Ethical approach to influence outcomes and serve as a role model. Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
