Join AXA XL as an

Associate Underwriter

and participate in an Underwriting Development Program designed to build expertise in insurance. The program provides hands-on experience, industry-specific training, and interactive workshops, with mentorship from experienced professionals to accelerate a career in underwriting. AXA XL's Middle Market division focuses on expanding offerings to mid-sized clients in the US Commercial P&C market. The Associate Underwriter will join an established underwriting team, servicing a renewal book and producing new business in the East Region through excellent underwriting practice. Responsibilities

Build and enhance relationships with assigned brokers and clients to identify and establish new distribution relationships. Collaborate across business units to underwrite, manage, and service a Private Equity renewal book and produce new business in line with unit goals. Exercise discretion and judgment in the analysis and evaluation of risk. Participate in roundtable discussions on risk assessment. Negotiate with producers within delegated authority to achieve profit objectives. Develop expertise within the Private Equity portfolio to address client needs with a one AXA solutions approach. Maintain compliance with internal and external underwriting guidelines and legal requirements. You will report to the Chief Underwriting Officer, Private Equity, Middle Market. Qualifications

Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations. Strong collaborative skills in a fast-paced, team-centric environment. Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills. Strong critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving abilities. A bachelor’s degree is required.
