Overview

We’re looking for experienced carpenters to join our team as Installers, supporting the safe, efficient installation of custom-built elements for events, retail activations, staging, and experiential projects. Our Installers are based in our shop in Brooklyn and assigned to projects from start to finish, ensuring consistency, quality, and care through all phases of prep, transport, and on-site install. This job requires both local and out-of-town travel. Ideal candidates bring strong problem-solving skills, a professional and collaborative attitude, and the ability to both take direction and step into leadership when needed. This is a hands-on role that requires precision, adaptability, and a commitment to craftsmanship. Please note: All candidates must complete a two-week trial and participate in at least one install before being considered for full-time hire. Base pay

$30.00/hr - $35.00/hr Key Responsibilities

In the Shop: Work under the direction of the Fabrication Department Manager to prepare for upcoming installations. Review and understand build drawings and project details in advance. Participate in location scouts and provide accurate site measurements and notes for drafting and planning. Contribute to the assembly of install-specific pack lists and coordinate with the Logistics team. Confirm all tools and built items are prepped for transport and installation. Ensure built elements meet company quality standards prior to install. Log returned items and ensure proper storage or return to stock. On Site: Install custom builds with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail. Manage daily site activity to ensure the project stays on time. Troubleshoot issues in coordination with the Project Manager and other stakeholders. Communicate clearly and professionally with teammates, clients, and site staff. Provide install updates and photos to the internal team throughout the day. Maintain a safe work environment, ensure proper PPE use, and enforce safety protocols. Confirm crew hours for payroll and report feedback on team performance. Represent Bednark with professionalism, a solution-oriented attitude, and respect for all stakeholders. Requirements

Strong carpentry and build background, ideally in event, retail, or theatrical work. Ability to read and follow plans, blueprints, and sketches with accuracy. Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and the ability to stay focused under pressure. Experience in AV is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Responsible, punctual, and reliable with a professional demeanor. Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods. Willing to travel and work nights, weekends, or holidays as required. Competent with mobile devices and jobsite communication apps. Ability to lead teams effectively. About Bednark Studio Inc.
