DigitalOcean . Dive in and do the best work of your career at DigitalOcean. We are building the simplest scalable cloud and are looking for a growth-minded leader to help define a compelling AI/ML infrastructure offering for customers and developers. What You’ll Be Doing
Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for our net new LLM inference product. Collaborate with engineering and design to bring new features to market, focusing on developer simplicity, performance, and scalability. Engage with customers to gather feedback and validate solutions, using insights to guide product decisions and prioritize the roadmap. Analyze usage data, market trends, and competitive dynamics to shape a product strategy that balances innovation with reliability. Write clear product requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment across teams and driving execution from concept through launch. Represent the product internally and externally, sharing the roadmap with stakeholders and enabling go-to-market success. Drive cross-functional alignment by communicating product goals, timelines, and rationale clearly across the company. Continuously iterate and improve existing features based on feedback, performance metrics, and strategic shifts. Qualifications / Indicators Of a Good Fit
10+ years of product management experience with a focus on AI/ML (ideally LLM) services, cloud platforms, or infrastructure products. Strong technical depth: understand modern AI/ML technologies and can discuss with engineers or read technical documentation to identify critical concerns. Proven ability to build products for technical users with a simple, clean user experience in complex environments. Track record of delivering high-impact products from concept to launch with ownership of roadmaps and success metrics. Strong ownership and problem-solving mindset to deliver customer value. Customer-focused with direct experience gathering insights and translating them into product improvements. Experience researching, evaluating, and building with open source technologies. Excellent communication skills to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders and align diverse teams. Data-informed and outcomes-oriented, comfortable using metrics to guide decisions. Experience with GPU platforms (AMD/NVIDIA) and tooling for tuning AI/ML workloads is ideal but not required. Experience with LLM hosting tools/frameworks (e.g., vLLM, llm-d) is ideal but not required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field; advanced degree is a plus but not required.
