Overview

Senior Data Scientist position for a client leading in the communications and network industry. The role focuses on developing data-driven solutions to complex business and network challenges, utilizing analytical, statistical, and programming skills to clean, aggregate, and analyze large data sets and interpret results. Requires strong command of data ingestion, statistical techniques, and machine learning algorithms, with the ability to prioritize efforts, synthesize actionable findings, and present insights to audiences with varying technical backgrounds. $80-$90/hr Note: This section is retained to reflect client requirements; applicants must be willing to work on a W-2 basis. For W-2 consultants, benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company matching, and life insurance. Responsibilities

Plan and lead the complete analytics life cycle for problem solving, including requirements gathering, problem formulation, data grooming, data exploration, model prototyping, model validation, and algorithm implementation related to WiFi and 5G technologies. Apply advanced analytical and statistical algorithms to help stakeholders explore methods to improve or validate key business cases. Provide options and recommendations during research and analysis phases. Conduct large-scale exploratory data analyses for new data sources or novel applications of existing data sources. Establish links across datasets and identify new, valuable data correlations. Develop and maintain data dashboards to support project requests and strategic operational initiatives. Facilitate ongoing communication with cross-functional owners of various datasets. Document development work to ensure transparency and maintain a historical record. Exercise thought leadership in tailoring tools, approaches, and data to meet the needs of specific problems. Present results and highlight key insights clearly and effectively; provide recommendations for next steps based on findings. Educate and mentor business intelligence, data, and analytics professionals on techniques and tools. Lead and manage contractor resources in data science. Create project plans to ensure timely achievement of goals; proactively communicate progress and escalate issues as necessary. Maintain records of progress and project history; mentor junior team members and support leadership in setting strategic vision. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Advanced expertise in Python, SQL, ESRI, Alteryx, Tableau, and/or other data visualization tools. Strong proficiency in one or more scripting, analysis, or ETL; ability to quickly learn new technologies. Familiarity with modern machine learning technologies and ability to generate model scoring code. Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining 4G/5G and/or Managed WiFi network performance dashboards. Expertise in maintaining and scaling large databases and data lakes. Solid theoretical foundation across major families of machine learning models (regression, decision trees, clustering, SVMs, neural networks). Strong command of advanced mathematics (calculus, PDEs, probability, statistics) with ability to self-learn additional concepts as needed. Excellent logical, analytical, synthesis, and presentation skills; ability to communicate insights to diverse audiences. Basic understanding of data architecture, data warehouses, and data marts; demonstrated ability to continually expand skill set as a learner and teacher. Experience with large-scale data, big data platforms, and streaming services. Related Work Experience

Master’s degree in a related field Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided reflects a W-2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
