Chief Executive Officer – Omaha, NE
Our client is seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead the Foundation in fulfilling its mission of inspiring hope and joy for older adults facing life-limiting circumstances. As the most senior leader, the CEO serves as the primary strategist, fundraiser, and spokesperson, guiding both the Foundation team and the community relationships. Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Development:
Act as the principal fundraiser, building and strengthening relationships with individual donors, corporations, foundations, and community partners. Lead major gift cultivation, annual giving campaigns, and special events. Organizational Leadership:
Provide overall leadership and direction to the Foundation’s staff, fostering a collaborative, mission-driven culture. Oversee financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and the strategic priorities necessary for long-term success. Program Oversight:
Partner with the team to evaluate, enhance, and expand programs, ensuring measurable impact and alignment with community needs. Support innovative program development and maintain high standards of service delivery. Community Engagement:
Serve as a visible ambassador for Foundation, building and maintaining partnerships with nonprofits, social service agencies, businesses, and faith communities. Represent the organization in public forums and act as a trusted spokesperson. Strategic Planning:
Work closely with the Board of Directors to establish organizational goals, policies, and long-range strategies that ensure resilience, growth, and mission impact. The Ideal Candidate
Approachable, relationship-driven executive. Proven record of fundraising success. Demonstrated leadership in mission-driven organizations. Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and integrity. Ability to inspire others, mentor staff, and engage the broader community. Qualifications
5–8+ years of nonprofit fundraising leadership. Track record of securing funding from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Strong financial management, project management, and organizational leadership experience. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; confident spokesperson.
